7 books scored at dollar-a-bag day at the Friends of the Library Book Sale

Posted on October 25, 2012 by ari

Here in Ithaca, there are a lot of smart people with good taste in books. So, the donations that end up at the Friends of the Library Book Sale are generally pretty awesome. This year we went on the day toward the very end where you can fill up a whole plastic bag with books for only $1.

In addition to an even longer list of titles I’m going to give to friends and family (so those are secret…), here are my finds. I lifted these screenshots from Google Images, but these are the right editions. I love the old covers.

1. How to Suppress Women’s Writing by Joanna Russ

2. The Enneagram: A journey of self discovery by Maria Beesing, Robert J. Nugosek, and Patrick H. O’Leary

3. The New Natural Cat: A Complete Guide for Finicky Owners by Anitra Frazier with Norma Eckroate

4. The Art of Loving by Erich Fromm

5. The Immense Journey by Loren Eiseley

6. Women’s Ways of Knowing by Mary Field Belenky, Bluthe McVicker Clinchy, Nancy Rule Goldberger, and Jill Mattuck Tarule

7. Memories, Dreams, Reflections by C.G. Jung
