Ari’s Art & Photography

Ari makes art. She takes visual notes and makes maps, charts, floorplans and other infographics. She also makes activisty posters and illustrations about animal rights and social and economic justice. Her work has been featured on numerous blogs as well as in Socialist Women and The Socialist, and she showed work in Bushwick Open Studios 2007 & 2008, and at Ithaca Underground Art Show 2009.

This poster, Flavors of anarchism, is comprised of very unscientific visual notes on anarchist schools of thought. (Note, circle sizes do not accurately reflect population sizes.) You can find it on the Wikimedia Commons, on Flickr, and in use in this Wikiquote article about American anarchist Voltairine de Cleyre.

This drawing of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (made because Ari liked Brian’s shirt and because Nick Zinner is vegan) was used by Zoya Feldman to illustrate the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in The Hype Machine’s Music Blog Zeitgeist 2009 (scroll down, they’re #4)
